Goat Cheese

Just outside of Bluff City, TN is one of the most fun and unique putt-putt golf courses you'll find. You ask, what does a silly looking goat have to do with putt-putt golf? Good question. You see, the proprietors of the Chinquapin Grove Miniature Golf Course decided that mowing and weeding around the golf course was for the birds, er, I mean, goats. The goats then became part of a petting zoo. This particular goat made me laugh with his goatee and cheesy grin. The course itself is well designed and actually pretty challenging -- it's built around interesting rock outcroppings in a nice shady area of the owner's farm. It's a lot of fun for kids and adults alike. Take a trip out into the county and try this one out.

Directions: From Johnson City and Bristol -- take 11E to 19E, after 1.7 miles, turn left onto the Old Elizabethton Highway (if you're coming from Elizabethton, you'll be turning right). Drive 0.5 miles and then turn right onto Walnut Grove Road. Travel 2.5 miles and then turn right onto Pleasant Grove Road. Drive 0.25 miles, putt-putt golf is on the left. (see map)
