bursting forth in silence

If spring came but once a century instead of once a year,
or burst forth with the sound of an earthquake and not in silence,
what wonder and expectation there would be
in all the hearts to behold the miraculous change.

--Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882) American poet

  1. Love your dogwood blossoms, I posted a dogwood pic today also, but yours is better! Love the blurry blue in between. Isn't springtime grand!

  2. This is my favorite photo...also like the bird with the yellowish can I purchase a copy?

  3. Thanks for the comments! Sandy, I've uploaded the dogwood photo to my gallery at (look in the flowers section). I haven't yet uploaded the yellow robin photo, but I will soon!
    All the best, Mark
