Under Siege!

This was the scene yesterday at Fort Watauga at Sycamore Shoals in Elizabethton, TN. The 14th annual reenactment of late 1700s frontier life, depicted actual skirmishes and events that took place at the Fort in July of 1776 when the fort was attacked by British and Native American forces. The actors who took part do such a great job of re-creating not only the battles, but also daily life inside the fort.
