Busy Bees

Like the bee, we should make our industry our amusement.
--Oliver Goldsmith (1730-1774) Irish born British Essayist, Poet, Novelist and Dramatist.

Notice anything different?! I've included a brand new map in the side bar that I've been working over the last few weeks. I hope you'll check it out - just click on the map to get the full effect. Just so you know, I'm not done with it yet. I still have a lot of work to do on areas of Virginia and North Carolina. I actually envision this as an ongoing project where I mark not only the places I visit but also those destinations I have on my list to explore in the future. Let me know what you think!

Also...check out the newly revised website for the Tennessee Eastman Hiking and Canoeing Club -- Bill Fuller (of 'Hiking Bill' fame) has done a great job revising and updating the TEHCC site. His helpful maps (click here and here) inspired me to get busy on my own.

  1. Awesome map, I did one when we went to California. Putting photos in the description is tedious, but it would be great to have a mini-visual!

I like the map, I'll be checking in from time to time to fill my weekend, I'm sure.......

Have you ever did the Grandfather Mountain photo workshop thing? I think July 15th is when sign ups start. I am really interested in doing it, and just wanted to see if you had ever participated.

  2. Hope the map is helpful - I still have a lot of work to do on NC and VA. If you have some favorite places that need to be marked, please let me know!

I haven't been to the workshop, but I've heard of it and need to check it out. Sounds fun!

  4. Mark,

Awesome Boca!!! You should start publishing some of your camera settings for those who want to learn from your talents.

Your Blog is a tremendous asset to our community and you are to be commended for all the hard work. The map is the icing on the cake!!!

Your Blogg traffic should start picking up a bunch. I am getting ready to publish an e-mail to all my photographer friends. I hope that is ok?

    Keep up the wonderful work.

    Talk to you soon.
