Above: Appalachian Trail hikers on Big Bald near Wolf Laurel, NC. I love meeting folks on the AT, they're always interested in sharing tales of their journeys, in life and on the trail. These two from Asheville are doing something I never do: backpack. I picked up one of their packs and was quickly reminded why I enjoy day trips so much. :)
