The colors along the Unaka Mountain Road are at their peak right now. In fact, in some places, they're a little past peak, but definitely worth the trip. The entire Unaka Mountain loop is spectacular, beginning with Highway 107 in Unicoi, over the mountain on the Unaka Mountain Road and then coming down Highway 395 (Rock Creek Road) into Erwin.
