rays of beauty

Flowers... are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world.
--Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

The wind is no friend when shooting macros -- so why fight it? I decided on this shot to just let the wind do its thing and left the shutter open for 1.6 seconds to capture the daisies waving in the gentle wind. I wasn't sure I liked this shot myself, but I kept coming back to it (I took it in May), so I thought I'd post it today to see what you think!

  1. I like it! the streaks of motion make it seem almost painting-like.

  2. That would look very nice framed... it's almost impressionist.
