a perfect gentleman

To call him a dog hardly seems to do him justice, though inasmuch as he had four legs, a tail, and barked, I admit he was, to all outward appearances. But to those who knew him well, he was a perfect gentleman.

My heart goes out to my wonderful neighbors who lost their beloved Gatsby last night at the age of 16. He was such a big part of their lives. He was such a good dog -- and they were so very good to him. (another photo here)

  1. Our hearts are broken for Mickey and Vicki. Mark, this is such a beautiful tribute to Gatsby. He was a fine little dude and I know their house is going to be too quiet for a while.

  3. Gatsby was special because his owners are special. They loved him so much that he was able to be happy and comfortable his whole life. He was able to share the love they gave him with others. And that face, that beautiful face. These photos capture him perfectly. I love it. He was a special furry child. I thank the Lord for Gatsby and his life. I know his memory will live on in the hearts of his mommy and daddy. We will see our babies again.
