Elk River Falls

Took a quick trip to Elk River Falls this past weekend -- what an impressive waterfall! It's also one of the easiest to visit in our area. Follow the signs and drive 4.5 miles off of 19E in Elk Park, NC -- and then it's just a 400 yard hike (although it's a bit steep and can be slippery after a rain).   3. I just got back from the falls. It was great. I saw people jumping off the top and various other places. Tons of swimming room. Piece of cake hike.
